A serious void exists in the public discourse relating to
the issues that directly and/or disproportionately impact the African-American community.
Issues such as the prison industrial complex, racial profiling environmental
racism, domestic policy and American foreign policy are not being sufficiently discussed in mainstream media. Also, the perspective
that is grounded in the history of the African American
community and tradition of African American scholarship is not sufficiently articulated as it relates to more general
issues such as school vouchers, health care, crime policy, and economic globalization.
"Inside the Issues with Wilmer Leon is one effort to discuss these and many
other issues in as non-biased and academically accurate perspective as possible.
What separates Wilmer and "Inside
the Issues"
from other talk radio hosts and programs is the level of analysis that is provided each
week by Dr. Leon and his guests.
"Inside
the Issues with Wilmer Leon"
is rhetoric free issue driven radio!
